El ciberacoso en la enseñanza obligatoria

Abstract

El ciberacoso se ha mostrado recientemente como una nueva forma de acoso. Este trabajo examina la prevalencia del ciberacoso en relación con la edad y el género (uso de internet o el móvil para enviar repetidos y crueles mensajes de texto o imágenes) en una muestra escolar de enseñanza obligatoria de la Comunidad Valenciana. Los resultados indican que del total de incidencias recogidas en el Registro Central de la Comunitat Valenciana sobre cualquier tipo de violencia, el 3 por ciento tenían que ver con el ciberacoso. Además, el 74 por ciento de las incidencias hacían referencia a sms y el 26 por ciento a imagen (foto-vídeo). Respecto al género, las mujeres fueron en mayor medida víctimas del ciberacoso, y los varones mostraron un perfil de acosadores. Nuestros resultados muestran gran relación entre el ciberacoso y otros tipos de acoso tradicional. Encontramos que, al menos, un 41,9 por ciento de los casos de ciberacoso estuvieron asociados con medidas disciplinarias tomadas desde los centros educativos.
