Hiperactividad y trastornos de la lectoescritura

Abstract

Uno de los problemas que aparece frecuentemente en el ámbito escolar es el de la conducta hiperactiva. El niño hiperactivo presenta, a menudo, dificultades de aprendizaje, por ello, consideramos de interés buscar las posibles correlaciones de la hiperactividad con determinados aprendizajes, principalmente, aquellos que, como la lectura y la escritura, constituyen contenidos instrumentales que todos deben adquirir. Este trabajo se centra en el estudio de la posible correlación entre la hiperactividad y determinados trastornos de lecto-escritura. Los resultados indican que la conducta hiperactiva incide, en muchos casos, de forma negativa en la correcta adquisición y posterior desarrollo del proceso de lecto-escritura. La influencia es más acusada en el proceso lector y se incrementa cuando va unida a un déficit atencional que lleva a una discriminación inadecuada entre estímulos primarios y secundarios en una tarea. La investigación se realiza en un ámbito educativo singular por sus características intrínsecas y extrínsecas: la escuela rural.
