Abstract

El objetivo, que aquí se presenta en sus primeros pasos, consiste en evaluar la eficiencia de los servicios educativos en diferentes países incluyendo, por primera vez en la literatura, la componente no cognitiva del output educativo (valores afectivos, de comportamiento social y desarrollo personal). A modo de primer paso en dicho proceso de evaluación, se plantea realizar el diseño y cálculo de índices de output que reflejen tanto los valores y actitudes no cognitivas como los resultados de los alumnos en términos de adquisición de conocimientos. Se pretende analizar hasta qué punto existen relaciones entre ambas componentes del output educativo, observando asimismo las relaciones de dichos indicadores con el peso del gasto público en Educación existente en cada país. De forma adicional al análisis de los outputs educativos no cognitivos, se pretende cruzar la información que obtengamos con la habitualmente empleada sobre outputs educativos cognitivos, empleando para ello los informes derivados del Programa Internacional de Evaluación de Estudiantes (PISA). La posibilidad de emplear ambas dimensiones del output educativo en una evaluación global de la eficiencia de los centros educativos permitirá enriquecer los análisis efectuados hasta la fecha e intentar paliar las carencias mencionadas derivadas del exclusivo empleo de los resultados académicos o cognitivos.
