Creatividad y Matemática

Abstract

Aumentar la creatividad a partir de una determinada metodología de enseñanza de las Matemáticas y desarrollar la autonomía, la capacidad reflexiva, el pensamiento crítico, el espíritu de colaboración y la solidaridad. Se eligen tres grupos de alumnos de quinto curso de EGB de un colegio público de Madrid. Para la parte experimental de la tesis se confeccionan 87 situaciones problemáticas que tienen como característica fundamental el hecho de estar muy relacionadas con la vida del alumno de educación básica. Las situaciones confeccionadas sirven para realizar las clases en el grupo I y en el grupo II, donde se realizan exactamente las mismas situaciones, teniendo el grupo II una pequeña variante en la metodología de clase empleada. Utiliza una metodología de clases, para el aprendizaje de la matemática, basada en la educación personalizada. El trabajo se realiza en tres grupos. Al grupo I se le aplica un tratamiento, otro al grupo II y al tercer grupo no se le aplica ninguno y se le deja de control. La creatividad es medida por los indicadores de fluidez, flexibilidad y originalidad. Se puede apreciar que la metodología de clase empleada produce diferencias significativas entre los grupos I y III, y II y III, en creatividad. Existe un cambio de opinión positivo respecto a la Matemática en los grupos en los que se realiza la experiencia.
