Creatividad en niños superdotados

Abstract

Pretende sentar las bases de un modelo de intervención educativa que pueda servir, a nivel escolar, para detectar y potenciar la creatividad en niños-as superdotados-as. 268 estudiantes entre 10 y 12 años de los cuales 89 (51 niños y 38 niñas) son superdotados-as y 179 (106 niños y 73 niñas) de contraste. Se analizan los diferentes modelos de creatividad y superdotación avalados por un estudio empírico, en el que se han valorado las diferencias que existen entre los niños superdotados y contraste a nivel verbal y gráfico espacial. Escala de Calificación de las Características del Comportamiento de los Estudiantes, para alumnado y profesorado. Factor 'g' de Cattell, escala 2. Escala de Ineligencia de Wechsler para niños (WISC). Escala Alexander. Cuestionario de Creatividad J. M. Martínez (1985) traducido del GIFT de Sylvia Rimm (1982). Test de Creatividad recopilado por J. M. Martínez. Escala Apreciativa del Profesor. Dibujos y redacción de los sujetos. Notas escolares. Se realiza un análisis descriptivo de la creatividad en niños superdotados y de contraste con matrices de correlación y análisis factoriales. Las diferencias entre los distintos tipos de sujetos se estudian por medio de análisis de varianza, análisis discriminante y análisis de conglomerados. Los estudiantes superdotados-as sobresalen sobre los de control en capacidad de rendimiento y actitudes. Los niños (superdotados y de contraste) destacan sobre las niñas en información y agresividad mientras mientras que estas les aventajan en originalidad, elaboración de trabajos y adptación a las normas sociales. Existen diferencias según el grado de creatividad.
