La Universidad en números : del elitismo a la institución abierta

Abstract

Se analiza, en primer lugar, la trasformación de la universidad en una institución de masas a partir de los años setenta. La enorme afluencia de estudiantes obligó a crear un gran número de universidades públicas, esta tendencia se intensifica en los años ochenta, el proceso se ralentiza a finales de los noventa en los que comienza el despegue de las universidades privadas. En segundo lugar, aborda algunos aspectos clave de la situación actual, entre otros, el descenso del alumnado, la feminización de las aulas, los cambios en la tipología de los estudiantes, los desequilibrios entre oferta y demanda. Termina con algunas consideraciones sobre la estrategia Universidad 2015.
