Integrar lengua y contenido, con los andamios necesarios

Abstract

El aprendizaje y el uso simultáneo de diversas lenguas no son perjudiciales, sino que pueden potenciar el desarrollo de competencias para comunicar de manera efectiva. Las orientaciones socioconstructivistas sugieren que el aprendizaje de lenguas se produce mediante la participación de actividades concretas. El alumnado recurrirá a todos sus recursos lingüísticos para poder realizar esa actividad. Esto comporta: contribuir a su gestión: distribución de turnos de habla, propuesta de temas, comprensión de la consigna; formular enunciados en lengua meta (los que comporta la tarea) y resolver obstáculos vinculados a la lengua meta. El reto es proponer actividades que integren aprender lengua y contenidos. Por otro lado, las lenguas se aprenden cuando se usan de forma significativa y su uso debe cumplir como requisito ser intenso, continuado y de calidad. El alumnado podrá participar en las actividades mediante el recurso a formas híbridas y a cambios de lengua, recursos que actúan como andamiaje para poder realizar las tareas propuestas. Las normas de uso de las lenguas se basan en dos principios: usar el máximo de tiempo posible la lengua meta para todas las microactividades y gestionar adecuadamente el uso de otras lenguas. En este último caso, se corrigen errores cuando es necesario, no temen usos híbridos y las formas no correctas y se admiten momentos de cambio de lengua.
