¿Cómo explicar el Holocausto?

Abstract

Se propone alguna explicación posible al Holocausto, tomando como referente la obra del sociólogo y filósofo Max Weber. Este momento histórico que puede parecer, a simple vista, irracional, responde a un funcionamiento racional. Para explicarlo, Weber propone dos tipos de racionalidad: la racionalidad instrumental, que es pragmática e interesada en la medida en que ayuda al propio beneficio, y la racionalidad valorativa, ligada a principios elegidos conscientemente, en que se puede llegar a perder parte de los intereses propios para llegar a la consecución de un fin.
