AUTOCONCEPTO Y APRENDIZAJE COOPERATIVO

Abstract

En esta investigación estudiamos el efecto que produce el uso de técnicas de aprendizaje cooperativo en el autoconcepto en sus ámbitos académico y social, sumamente importantes para el rendimiento académico, para el desarrollo personal y social de los alumnos y para una adecuada convivencia en el aula. Utilizamos un diseño cuasi experimental pretest-postest con grupo de control no equivalente; los participantes en la investigación son 50 alumnos y alumnas de primer curso de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (12 años). En el análisis de los datos utilizamos la t de Student y Modelo Lineal General (MLG)-Medidas Repetidas; hemos introducido el cociente intelectual como covariable para controlar su efecto sobre el autoconcepto. Los resultados confirman las hipótesis planteadas: la utilización de técnicas de aprendizaje cooperativo aumenta el autoconcepto de los alumnos, en los dos aspectos estudiados, y este aumento es independiente del nivel intelectual de los estudiantes.
