Entre la participación y el intervencionismo

Abstract

Se abordan los problemas surgidos del derecho de los padres a participar en la vida de las escuelas, entre ellos, el intento de inmiscuirse en orientaciones educativas, sin estar preparados para decidir sobre contenidos de materias, valores formativos o aspectos de gestión. El papel de la escuela sería el de frenar la tendencia de las familias a revertir su propia personalidad hacia el sistema educativo. Se cuestiona el hecho de que en algunos centros el intervencionismo a través de la Asociación de Padres, puede favorecer la injerencia en orientaciones educativas, ejerciendo presión sobre decisiones académicas, y utilizándolo para su provecho personal. Se apoya la participación de los padres en una sociedad democrática, pero no en menoscabo de la profesionalidad del profesorado.
