Investigando los asentamientos humanos : la problemática del medio urbano

Abstract

Los asentamientos humanos, y más concretamente el medio urbano, tienen un gran valor educativo, sobre todo por su vinculación con los problemas sociales y ambientales de nuestro mundo. Frente a la tradición dominante, el conocimiento escolar sobre el medio urbano debería utilizar aportaciones relevantes procedentes de diversos campos del conocimiento y tener como referencia importante las concepciones de los alumnos. A partir de estos supuestos se proponen tramas de conocimiento y tramas de problemas sobre el medio urbano que facilitarán la elaboración de propuestas educativas concretas.
