Efectos del agrupamiento sobre la fluidez y la comprensión lectora en alumnos buenos lectores

Abstract

Se examinan los efectos del agrupamiento en clase sobre el rendimiento de alumnos buenos lectores en función del curso. Dieciséis profesores tutores voluntarios de los cursos 1.0 a 4.0 y 80 alumnos participaron en un estudio que duró lO semanas. Los profesores con sus correspondientes cursos se asignaron aleatoriamente a una de las siguientes estructuras de agrupamiento: homogéneo (HO), heterogéneo (HE), pareja (PA) y control (CN), implementando en sus respectivas aulas la técnica lectura estratégica en grupo. Los resultados mostraron un efecto estadísticamente significativo de la interacción que sugiere que mientras el agrupamiento HO, HE y en PA contribuyen a un incremento significativo de la fluidez en los buenos lectores de 2.0, 3.0 y 4.0, en cambio, los de 1.0 se benefician significativamente más de la estructura en parejas. Se halló, así mismo, un efecto principal significativo del factor curso, indicativo de ganancias mayores en comprensión lectora en los alumnos de primer ciclo comparados con los de 3.0 y 4.0, independientemente de la estructura de agrupamiento.
