Cambios sociales y cambios en las escuelas

Abstract

La influencia de los cambios sociales y vertiginosos de la sociedad generan un efecto directo en la educación. En este artículo se señalan algunos de los factores que se deben tener en cuenta de cara a una posible propuesta para la escuela del siglo XXI. Entre esos factores se encuentran el compromiso de los poderes públicos, con un mayor incremento de recursos y un cambio en las relaciones con los centros. Un segundo factor sería el de la organización en las escuelas, que deberían poseer mayor capacidad de decisión y flexibilidad organizativa. Es necesario apoyar la creación de redes entre ellas. Por último, el desempeño profesional de los docentes debería sufrir un cambio en cuanto a la distribución del trabajo y en cuanto a su formación. El autor considera que las escuelas del futuro dependerán de esos factores y establece dos tipos: las indefensas y las luchadoras, en función de la manera que tengan de enfrentarse a los problemas actuales.
