Abstract

Se describe una actividad llevada a cabo por la autora con alumnos de quinto de educación primaria en el CEIP Santísimo Cristo de la Salud (Aldeanueva de la Vera, Cáceres). La actividad parte de la lectura de una antigua leyenda irlandesa: 'La calzada de los gigantes', a partir de la cual se plantean diversas tareas como: investigar tradiciones culturales irlandesas, buscar leyendas populares de la comarca de la Vera, etc. Con este proyecto se pretende mostrar cómo a través de un centro de interés se pueden crear conocimientos, habilidades y destrezas que desarrollen las competencias básicas en el alumnado.
