Competencia digital docente : más allá de la informática

Abstract

La competencia digital del profesorado es una de las cuestiones más debatidas en la formación del profesorado. Más allá del uso instrumental de las Tecnologías de la Información y de la Comunicación (TIC), el profesorado debe conocer la influencia de los medios en el plano educativo, pero, también, en un plano social. La competencia digital no puede limitarse al uso instrumental de las TIC. Se presenta una intervención llevada a cabo en el Grado en Pedagogía y el Grado en Educación Social para la formación docente en alfabetización mediática. Consiste en que el alumnado realice una pequeña investigación de la recepción de un programa de telerrealidad a partir de los comentarios dejados por los espectadores en las redes sociales. Los resultados, que se extraen del análisis de las producciones realizados por el alumnado, muestran como el análisis de los medios, como la televisión o las redes sociales, pueden fomentar el debate y la reflexión sobre los productos mediáticos. Se concluye con la necesidad de que la educación mediática sea una pieza clave en la formación en competencias digitales del profesorado.
