Abstract

Se analiza la importancia de dotar a los estudiantes de una competencia estadística y probabilística que los ayude a orientarse en una sociedad compleja que suele observar su propia evolución en términos de parámetros estadísticos. La necesaria competencia del profesorado debe sustentarse en un conocimiento profundo de los contenidos a trabajar y también en una variedad de estrategias didácticamente fundamentadas. Se describen algunas dificultades de aprendizaje de los estudiantes que los profesores deberían tomar en consideración, y algunas estrategias a utilizar en el aula, basadas en simulaciones con ordenador.
