VISUALPC : una aplicación informática para estimulación visual en niños discapacitados visuales con o sin deficiencias asociadas

Abstract

Se describen las características del programa VISUALPC, una aplicación informática para estimulación de niños deficientes visuales estructurada en tres bloques: estimulación visual se desarrolla en cuatro apartados: 1. Estimulación básica para las funciones de atención, seguimiento y mirada alternativa. 2. Inicio en la percepción y discriminación de formas y colores. 3. Representación del cuerpo, de figuras de objetos familiares y adquisición de los conceptos básicos. 4. Exploración de espacios perceptivos y coordinación visomotora. La estimulación auditiva se realiza con los contenidos sonoros del programa. Los primeros aprendizajes constan de un método de lectura, de utilización alternativa: puede usarse el que aporta el programa o elaborar materiales específicos. Para la escritura se emplea un procesador de textos que permite magnificar los caracteres según las necesidades del niño.
