Abstract

Se presenta una unidad didáctica para trabajar de forma integrada los contenidos de otras unidades previas con alumnos de cuarto curso de Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria. Se utiliza la investigación criminal como elemento motivador, los alumnos deben, a partir de un fémur, determinar la edad, sexo, altura y raza de la persona a quién pertenecía. Deben también interpretar datos tabulados y analizar en el microscopio granos de polen para llegar a una identificación final mediante análisis de ADN. La citada unidad didáctica se estructura en cuatro actividades, estimando una duración temporal de cinco horas entre su planificación previa y su realización en el aula y el laboratorio. Se pretende con este proyecto dar respuesta a las constantes preguntas del alumnado sobre la utilidad del área de ciencias, es decir, demostrar, en la medida de lo posible, para qué sirve y es útil la ciencia en nuestra sociedad.
