Adicción a internet y alumnado universitario : estudio bibliométrico

Abstract

Se realiza un análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica sobre adicción a internet en estudiantes universitarios en el período 2016-2020. Se realiza con una muestra de 216 artículos extraídos de la base de datos Scopus. Las variables de estudio son: año de publicación, área de indexación, publicación periódica, país y artículos más citados. Los resultados indican una proliferación de investigaciones, sobre todo en el año 2020 al coincidir con la COVID-19. Las principales publicaciones se relacionan con el área de salud, así como las revistas que han publicado un mayor número de artículos, entre las que destacan Journal of Behavioral Addictions, Computers in Human Behavior y Psychiatry Research. Turquía es el país con más artículos, seguidos del Reino Unido e Irán. Los artículos más citados se vinculan con factores como la depresión, la ansiedad, la autoestima o la satisfacción vital y su relación con la adicción a internet. Como conclusión, los resultados permitirán plantear futuras intervenciones desde el contexto universitario para reducir los niveles de adicción a internet.
