Abstract

Se realiza una aproximación al concepto de tolerancia, abarcando los siguientes aspectos : la emergencia de la tolerancia en un mundo dividido por las guerras de religión y por los fundamentalismos de todo tipo, la tolerancia vinculada a una concepción absolutista del poder político, la tolerancia como un acuerdo consensuado del Estado y del derecho, y la tolerancia vinculada a la autocomprensión de la ciudadanía.
