Perfiles motivacionales en estudiantes universitarios

Abstract

Se comprueba la existencia de posibles combinaciones de metas y establecer los correspondientes perfiles motivacionales en una muestra de estudiantes universitarios. También se analizan las diferencias entre esos perfiles en algunas variables afectivomotivacionales y en estrategias de aprendizaje. Los resultados identifican cuatro grupos caracterizados por perfiles motivacionales distintos y que son fruto de diferentes combinaciones de metas. Los perfiles más adaptativos a nivel académico son los del grupo que está orientado moderadamente hacia el aprendizaje, el resultado y la defensa de la imagen - grupo 2- y el grupo orientado moderadamente hacia el aprendizaje -grupo 3-. Por otro lado, el perfil más desadaptativo, que coincide también con el que integra el menor número de estudiantes, lo presenta el grupo 1, que está orientado prioritariamente hacia el resultado con un alto grado de desmotivación hacia el aprendizaje, aunque moderadamente preocupado por la defensa de la imagen y la evitación del trabajo.
