Generalización del comportamiento adaptativo en el retraso mental : transferencia del aprendizaje

Abstract

Se presenta un estudio sobre las personas retrasadas mentales. Éstas se caracterizan por sus déficits en comportamientos adaptativos. Un buen número de programas de intervención se han elaborado para implementar esos comportamientos en estos sujetos en orden a lograr el máximo posible de integración y normalización en la sociedad. Una cuestión fundamental a tener en cuenta en estas intervenciones es la generalización de las conductas adquiridas. Este trabajo ha comprobado la transferencia del aprendizaje de comportamientos de unas áreas directamente entrenadas a otras que no lo han sido. Para la evaluación del Comportamiento Adaptativo y el entrenamiento en el área de manejo de dinero se utilizó la versión española del West Virginia System. Después del entrenamiento y adquisición de comportamientos pertenecientes a esta área, se observó un mayor nivel de ejecución en las áreas de Tiempo y Números, con respecto a la ejecución antes del tratamiento en Dinero.
