Abstract

Se analizan las aportaciones que al respecto las nuevas tecnologías hipermedias pueden aportar al desarrollo de aplicaciones que sirvan para implementar procesos de aprendizaje favorecedores del pensamiento heurístico y de la capacidad de «transfer». Desde nuestra perspectiva y desde la experiencia que se ha desarrollado en este campo, realizar una función de análisis, desde un punto de vista hipermedia, de las teorías sobre la resolución de problemas, requiere que hacer un ejercicio previo de reinterpretación de los aspectos centrales de las teorías del «solving problem» y «transfer» a partir de las clásicas teorías sobre el procesamiento de la información. En este sentido, tanto la teoría de la memoria dual como la más reciente de J. Anderson (1993) basada en los mecanismos de activación de nodos de información permiten establecer una interpretación sugerente de los mecanismos mentales que operan en los procesos heurísticos. Sobre dichos análisis, se desarrolla una interpretación teórica y sistematizadora de la función de los soportes basados en tecnología hipermedia, avanzando en la definición de un cuerpo teórico necesario, teniendo en cuenta que, por otra parte, la experimentación práctica está permanentemente concluyendo en la eficiencia y eficacia del soporte hipermedia como mecanismo comunicacional en los procesos de aprendizaje heurístico.
