Effect of argumentative goals in the quality of argumentative dialogue and written argumentation

Abstract

La inclusión de prácticas argumentativas en las aulas como herramienta epistémica para potenciar el aprendizaje y el razonamiento ha alcanzado un gran consenso. No obstante, estudios sobre argumentación muestran que no todo tipo de argumentación es igualmente eficaz para desarrollar este potencial, y que las metas argumentativas son determinantes en el discurso argumentativo. Especialmente las metas persuasivas y deliberativas, postulando que estas últimas son las que mayor potencial epistémico representan. Ochenta estudiantes de Máster de Formación de Profesorado en Secundaria se posicionan respecto a un dilema energético y redactan dos textos argumentativos, antes y después dialogar con un compañero defensor de una tesis contraria. Del total de 40 díadas, 21 dialogan con una meta persuasiva y 19 con una meta deliberativa. Los resultados indican que el diálogo tuvo un efecto positivo en la calidad argumentativa en ambas condiciones.
