Dialogic argumentation as a bridge to argumentative thinking and writing

Abstract

Algunos autores definen la argumentación como ‘el proceso humano más general del que formas más específicas de razonamiento formarían parte’. El contexto educativo en el que más frecuentemente se practica y se evalúa la argumentación es la escritura expositiva individual, gran reto educativo para los docentes y un área en la que los estudiantes suelen tener dificultad. Se hace cada vez más importante a medida que avanza el nivel educativo, y es crucial para el éxito académico en los niveles post-secundarios. Se describe el método dialógico desarrollado para fomentar las habilidades argumentativas de los adolescentes. Se revisa la evidencia de que el método, aplicado durante dos o más años, produce resultados positivos en el discurso argumentativo oral, en textos escritos, en la comprensión del discurso argumentativo a nivel meta y en la evaluación de las argumentaciones.
