Abstract

Se plantea desarrollar el currículo de ciencias sociales de toda la secundaria a través de proyectos de aprendizaje. La idea se fundamenta y justifica en la necesidad de cambiar el proceso de aprendiza para conseguir el pleno desarrollo de las competencias del alumnado. Se manifiesta que el aprendizaje que se imparte en las instituciones escolares es básicamente memorístico y basado en los contenidos, cuando debería perseguir una mayor autonomía del alumnado, así como el desarrollo de sus competencias clave y su plena integración en una sociedad en permanente cambio.
