Colonialismo y descolonización a las puertas : el Magreb

Abstract

Se analiza la situación de el Magreb. Geográfica e históricamente próximo a España auqnue integrado en el imperio francés, el magreb puede ser un interesante ejemplo de la diversidad del hecho colonial y sus complejas repercusiones tanto en el país colonizado como en la metrópoli. En Argelia, tempranamente convertida en parte integrante de Francia, destaca el establecimiento de una numero población de origen europeo, con fuerte presencia española, y el carácter particularmente problemático de su descolonización. En Túnez y Marruecos, administrados bajo la fórmula del protectorado, el acceso a la independencia fue menos dramático; pero el dificultoso dominio español de la zona norte del protectorado marroquí llegó a tener una influencia en los asuntos internos de España sobre cuya intensidad conviene llamar la atención.
