El desarrollo del sentido geométrico como una relación entre la visualización y el razonamiento configural

Abstract

La demostración matemática es uno de los tópicos cuyo desarrollo se subraya en todos los diseños curriculares. Una forma de abordar la enseñanza de la demostración matemática (la prueba) ha sido a través de la geometría. Actualmente, esta situación tiene que afrontar el problema de la casi supresión de la introducción a la geometría en Educación Primaria y, por tanto, la dificultad de conseguir la experiencia necesaria para enfrentar su aprendizaje en la Educación Secundaria Obligatoria. Por ello, se describen algunos hechos derivados de las investigaciones recientes sobre el aprendizaje de la geometría, con el objetivo de mostrar la utilidad de recuperar su enseñanza.
