Nuevos conflictos sociales, nuevas identidades sociales : la lucha por el reconocimiento

Abstract

Se persigue ofrecer un marco teórico que posibilite la comprensión y el análisis de la nueva conflictividad social en nuestras sociedades. En primer lugar, se realiza una reconstrucción del marco teórico desde el que el pensamiento social y, en concreto, la sociología, ha abordado el tema del conflicto. Desde las posturas que conceptualizaron el conflicto como una amenaza al orden social y una realidad defectiva y transitoria, hasta una visión más positiva, en que los conflictos se analizan como parte integrante de una sociedad democrática y plural, y como elemento dinamizador del cambio y progreso sociales. En segundo lugar, se mantiene que frente a la permanencia de los tradicionales conflictos de clase, han surgido otros nuevos. Estos conflictos, ligados a los nuevos movimientos sociales y otros sujetos sociales, plantean nuevas reivindicaciones en torno a lo que se ha denominado la lucha por el reconocimiento.
