Abstract

El rendimiento académico constituye un aspecto determinante en el ámbito de la educación superior por sus implicaciones en el cumplimiento de la función formativa de las instituciones educativas y el proyecto educativo de los estudiantes. Durante el curso 2012-13 tomará especial relevancia, puesto que es cuando comienzan a graduarse los primeros titulados universitarios de acuerdo con lo establecido por el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES). En este contexto, se pretende conocer el rendimiento académico de los alumnos que constituyen la primera promoción de titulados universitarios de los títulos oficiales de grado en la Universidad de las Islas Baleares (UIB). Para alcanzar este objetivo, se han obtenido las siguientes tasas globales de la UIB, además de sus valores por años académicos y por ramas de conocimiento: tasa de rendimiento: 78.04%, tasa de éxito: 85.43%, tasa de abandono en el primer año: 25.25%, tasa de eficiencia: 97.31% y tasa de graduación: 40.00%. Finalmente, se discuten y se interpretan los resultados obtenidos en el marco del sistema universitario español.

El rendiment acadèmic constitueix un aspecte determinant en l'àmbit de l'educació superior per les seves implicacions en el compliment de la funció formativa de les institucions educatives i el projecte educatiu dels estudiants. Durant el curs 2012-13 prendrà especial rellevància, ja que és quan comencen a graduar-se els primers titulats universitaris d'acord amb l’establert per l'Espai Europeu d'Educació Superior (EEES). En aquest context, es pretén conèixer el rendiment acadèmic dels alumnes que constitueixen la primera promoció de titulats universitaris dels títols oficials de grau a la Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB). Per assolir aquest objectiu, s'han obtingut les següents taxes globals de la UIB, a més dels seus valors per anys acadèmics i per branques de coneixement: taxa de rendiment: 78.04%, taxa d'èxit: 85.43%, taxa d'abandonament al primer any : 25.25%, taxa d'eficiència: 97.31% i taxa de graduació: 40.00%. Finalment, es discuteixen i s'interpreten els resultats obtinguts en el marc del sistema universitari espanyol.
