Abstract

Jaume I inauguró un género y, de hecho, una literatura. El "Libro de los feits" responde en buena parte a un estímulo personal, derivado de la conquista de Mallorca. La crónica, subraya la singularidad de ese proceso. Se expone la vida y obra del rey Jaume I haciendo un recorrido por la herencia literaria medieval que dejó en la lengua catalana.
