Aproximación a los factores explicativos del desistimiento en jóvenes infractores

Abstract

Se presenta un estudio cuyo objetivo era explorar qué factores son relevantes para el cese de la conducta delictiva en menores y jóvenes infractores, relacionando dos conceptos: el desistimiento y la resiliencia. En el estudio participaron 110 jóvenes de la provincia de Barcelona con edades de entre 14 y 17 años que están pendientes de inicio, en ejecución o han finalizado un programa socioeducativo (mediación, medio abierto o internamiento) en el ámbito de la justicia juvenil. Los principales resultados indican que un pasado adverso no dificulta el desistimiento, y que la acción de factores de protección contextuales e individuales disminuye el riesgo de reincidencia
