De Hispania a Alandalús y al esplendor del califato

Abstract

Se hace referencia a penetración islámica en suelo hispano. Se discute sobre los términos: conquista e invasión. Se concluye que es mejor utilizar la palabra invasión para referirse a ese proceso histórico, ya que hubo pocos encuentros bélicos. Lo que prevalecieron fueron las ocupaciones pacíficas de las tierras visigodas cuya población se sometió mediante pactos con los invasores. Se reconocen las dificultades al hablar de identidad de quienes iniciaron el dominio islámico peninsular.
