Abstract

A crise financeira que se iniciou no Verão de 2007 contribuiu decisivamente para um fortíssimo abrandamento do crescimento económico global e, em especial nas economias avançadas, para fenómenos recessivos em larga escala que eclodiram com uma intensidade anormalmente elevada e que propiciaram (justas) comparações com os momentos que se viveram aquando da grande depressão de 1929-30.
