A água e o incremento da conflitualidade

Abstract

NUM ANO EM QUE SE CELEBRAM seis anos da consagração da década 2005-2015 para a temática “Água e Desenvolvimento”, no âmbito dos Objectivos do Milénio defi nidos pelas Nações Unidas (NU), existirá já margem para a refl exão sobre o trabalho desenvolvido e metas ainda por cumprir. De um modo geral, a água vem constituindo um vector fulcral da adaptação de processos de desenvolvimento à fi nitude de recursos naturais, num contexto em que prevalecem, todavia, análises aludindo a possíveis impactos negativos decorrentes de uma má ou inexistente gestão de recursos hídricos a nível nacional, regional, continental e mesmo mundial, e sua projecção sobre sociedades humanas.
