Lealdades e martírio: duas vantagens operacionais no Jihadismo

Abstract

Há vários conceitos de forte carga islâmica que marcam o jihadismo. A fundamentação religiosa para a violência ajuda a erodir críticas, legitimar e alicerçar determinadas acções tácticas de grande impacto estratégico, como é o caso do terrorismo. Aludiremos apenas a três exemplos de elementos doutrinais religiosos que, pela sua efectividade operacional, desestabilizam estrategicamente o inimigo, sendo cruciais na acção jihadista. Para além do conceito de jihad, que ocupa uma parte central na justificação da acção armada, estes conceitos são frequentes nos discursos dos líderes jihadistas. Compreendê-los revela-se fundamental para ler a dimensão estrutural e operacional da al-Qaeda (e grupos associados), bem como do Estado Islâ- mico. Falamos então de bay’at, de al-Wala wal- -Bara, e do conceito de shaheed/istishhâd.
