Abstract

Depois de alguns anos de desaceleração, o investimento internacional sofreu um novo impulso fundamentalmente por acção dos EUA e Reino Unido, os primeiros países a apresentarem sinais de recuperação. O efeito de atracção desenvolvido pela recuperação da procura americana permitiu aos EUA retomarem a sua posição de principais investidores mundiais e principais receptores de investimento externo. A continuação de uma conjuntura económica difícil nos países da União Europeia (UE) limitou a dinamização das entradas de investimento externo e originou uma quebra do investimento comunitário no exterior.
