Annotation gives more meaning to the content, explanation or annotation is sometims a necessity for multimedia content but during data transaction annotations can be lost if it is not combined with the data. For different people from different cultures, different languages and different ideas sometimes describing the same thing would be completely different. Annotation using keywords and simple sentences has flaws such as mentioned in previous sentence and also computers do not have any understanding of information complied by this kind of annotation. Therefore Semantic annotation has been introduced which defines common meaning for human and understandable features for machines. Using semantic annotations meaningful processes can be done by computers which will result in more accurate response to human requests and automatic transactions between applications. In this research we have considered approaches to semantic annotations of images.
