An Illustration:Applicability of Acticity Based Costing on Small-to Medium Sized Firms

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Faaliyete Dayalı Maliyet sisteminin KOBÎ'lerde uygulanabilirliğini ölçmektir. FDM sisteminin KOBÎ'lerde, geleneksel sistemden farklı sonuç verip vermediğini belirlemek için Geleneksel ve FDM sistemleri analiz edilmiştir.Bu bağlamda Kıbrıs'taki şilte fabrikası: Luksor Ltd. incelenmiştir. Cooper'in hiyerarşi modeli altında, fabrikanın varolan muhasebe sistemi incelenmiş ve her birim, grup, mamul ve tesis düzeyi faaliyetler araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yalnızca birim ve tesis düzeyi faaliyetler belirlenmiştir. Grup ve mamul düzeyi faaliyetlerin varolmayışından dolayı, genel maliyetlerin dağılımı için üretime bağlı maliyet anahtarları (işçilik saati gibi) uygun bulunmuştur. Toplam maliyetler içinde, genel maliyetler oranının düşük olmasından dolayı, grup ve mamul düzeyi maliyetlerinin belirlense bile, mamul maliyetlerinde önemli farklılıklar yaratmıyacağı saptanmıştır. Bu nedenle FDM sisteminin adı geçen fabrikada, geleneksel sistemden daha farklı bir sonuç vermeyeceği ve geleneksek maliyet sisteminin ve üretime bağlı maliyet anahtarlarının uygun olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.FDM sisteminin büyük üretim kapasitesi ve üretime dayalı olmayan faaliyetleri; grup ve mamul düzeyi gibi, işletmelere uygun olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
