Vertical variations in the composition of atmospheric aerosol NR-PM1 were studied and significant differences were found especially at night, when atmospheric mixing is often limited. Each major NR-PM1 component studied (Organics, sulphates, nitrates, ammonium) had a different behavior, with organics showing the highest differences at night.
