The fifth season of the nationwide Archaeological Summer event featured 114 archaeological sites, exhibitions, ongoing excavations, archaeological parks or open-air museums, with participation from 70 collaborating institutions. A total of 4,979 individuals confirmed their attendance through the reservation system, though we know that the actual number of visitors was significantly higher. The most media-worthy tours were those of Prague’s Vyšehrad and the guided flyover of the Ohře River Valley. A new addition this season was the inclusion of several guided tours in English. After three years, Archaeological Summer in Moravia reintroduced its partnership with geocaching, resulting in 20 gatherings held at archaeological sites.
