The presented solution provides an electrode for the detection of uranium contents in aqueous system, of the type of a carbon paste electrode, which consists of a body made from nonconductive material with a through cavity filled with a paste from a composite of graphene, graphene oxide and type A zeolite with ionic fluid which is a binding material, whereas the ionic fluid is selected from 1,3-diethoxyimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imid and 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imid, whereas a conductive wire is inserted to the paste, and whereas the weight ratios of graphene, graphene oxide and type A zeolite in the composite range from 30:30:40 to 45:45:10, and a method of uranium detection using this electrode.
