The article summarizes the experience of using information technology in teaching law during the pandemic. Using the example of the AcademicLex information system created at the Institute of State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the author points out the advantages of specialized systems compared to generally oriented systems, which tend to degrade teaching. Each field requires special digitization procedures, as the subject determines the methods and not the other way around.
