The chapter examines restrictions on freedom of expression in court decisions. It deals with selected decisions of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, decision-making activities of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. The decisions in M. Š. vs R-Presse, H. V. vs Europress, and P. S. and M. S. vs Vltava-Labe-Press are discussed in more detail. At the same time, the author raises the question of the reasons for the growth of restrictions on freedom of expression and insufficient reflection on freedom of expression in the Czech media. The chapter also discusses the issue of defamation and the issue whistleblowing.\n
