A method of separating enantiomers of substituted [n] helicenes, where n = 6.7, comprising the following steps:\na) the substituent R of the initial substituted [n] helicene, where general formula I n = 6.7 is reacted with a chiral compound,\nb) chromatographic separation of the resulting diastereomers,\nc) releasing the starting substituted helicene from the resolved diastereomers by removing the functional groups formed by the reaction with the chiral compound.
