Discoveries of mediaval manuscripts from the beginning of the XVth century modify the generally accepted assumption that the probability theory originates in the correspondence of Pascal and Fermat in 1654. The older solutions of the problem of points have the same results as were found by Pascal, Fermat and later also by Huyghens.
