Abstract

A Sección de Creación e Artes Visuais Contemporáneas do Consello da Cultura Galega traballa na consecución de debates e accións encamiñadas a facer pensar desde e fronte ás artes visuais na actualidade. A presente publicación recolle as reflexións que tiveron a súa orixe nas xornadas que, co mesmo título ARTE + PINTURA, reuniron no ano 2014 a profesionais que son protagonistas dos cambios acaecidos na pintura nas últimas décadas. Exposicións, publicacións e a propia práctica artística son testemuño do final dunha crise prolongada e da revitalización da pintura no ámbito internacional, nacional e galego. Con intereses renovados, a pintura móstrase vacilante entre a expansión e a resistencia, entre as novas linguaxes e a vixencia da imaxe pintada, entre a tradición secular e a ruptura das súas convencións. As achegas presentadas nas xornadas —Antón Castro, Isabel Sabino, Juan Carlos Meana, David Barro, Glòria Picazo, Ánxel Huete, Berta Cáccamo, Manuel Eirís, Miren Doiz, Chelo Matesanz, Din Matamoro, Daniel Verbis e Tatiana Medal— desenvólvense agora nesta publicación para afondar na análise da cuestión e prolongar o debate. As súas reflexións contribúen a formular novas preguntas, a estimular o pensamento e a acción para, en definitiva, continuar ampliando o concepto ou a definición de pintura.
