O monacato feminino na Galicia medieval (1100-1500)

Authors: Rodriguez Muñiz, Victor;

O monacato feminino na Galicia medieval (1100-1500)

Abstract

The aim of this work is researching the history of every single feminine abbey or priory (both benedictines and cistercians) in Galicia in the central and late Middle Ages, according to both bibliographical and non-published documents; in these ones a whole transcription work will be made when necessary. With the information given, every monastery will get an individualized historical study and, finally, a general one so that their similitudes and differences will be known, in the mood for knowledge in a poorly studied content in the Galician historiography for Middle Ages.
