Abstract

The article deals with presentation of the process of formation of a new scientific discipline - economics of science (or: economics of scientific researches). The author has performed a short review of different works dealing with this problem which is followed by an attempt at formulation of the object and the area of researches. There are discussed specific features and development prospects of the newly - arising discipline. Zadanie pt. „Digitalizacja i udostępnienie w Cyfrowym Repozytorium Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego kolekcji czasopism naukowych wydawanych przez Uniwersytet Łódzki” nr 885/P-DUN/2014 zostało dofinansowane ze środków MNiSW w ramach działalności upowszechniającej naukę.
