Abstract

The paper deals with problems posed by technology transfer for management of an enterprise. The author analyzes two extreme situations of success and failure in the international and intra-enterprise transfer of technology. There are also listed elements and impediments to technology transfer and tasks faced by the management of an enterprise realizing technology transfer. The analysis is supplemented by the examples of organizing technology transfer in such enterprises as Mannesmann Kienzle, VW/Triumph-Adler and Wella AG.
